The device can be formatted as the first stage in the cascade as either an amplifier or a voltage variable attenuator (VVA). When used as an attenuator, the device ranges from 50MHz to 6000MHz. The F2480 delivers a 12dB typical maximum cascade gain with a 4.3dB noise figure and a 36dB gain adjustment developed to function with a single +5V supply. The device provides an excellent linearity OIP3 performance of +41.5 with a supply current of 106mA. The device pinout supports a variety of cascade and use configurations. Single-ended RF input of 50Ω and RF output impedances ease integration into the signal-path lineup. The Zero-Distortion™ amplifier comes in a 5mm x 5mm 32-TQFN package. The amplifier applications include multi-mode and multi-carrier receivers, cable infrastructure, and broadband repeaters.
