The expansive range of vertical PCIe Gen 4 and Gen 5 connectors come with options for surface-mount (SMT), through-hole solder, press-fit (PF), and straddle-mount terminations. These PCIe connectors are typically used for I/O cards in desktop PCs, along with applications in data communications for servers, workstations, routers, industrial embedded systems, interface processing, and data storage devices such as hard disk drives (HDDs) and solid-state drives (SSDs).
