The AL8862 operates with an input supply voltage from 5V to 60V, and it provides an externally adjustable output current up to 1A. Series connection of the LEDs provides identical LED currents resulting in uniform brightness and eliminating the need for ballast resistors. The AL8862 switches at frequency up to 1MHz, allowing the use of smaller size external components and minimizing required PCB size.
